As community builders, we do our best to actively listen to the people we're here to serve. And right now we're hearing the same thing over and over again: Business / life overall feels hard right now.
Budgets are tighter. Expenses are up. Projects are taking longer to book. And for a lot of people, investing in resources, support, and education can be inaccessible.
And while we can't solve every challenge, we can look for meaningful ways to make our resources more accessible.
So this month, we're highlighting a few different ways to get support: our free resources, discounted Showit Canvases, and our new scholarship program.

WDL Community Scholarship
NEW Resource
As we've been listening to you, talking with designers, and hearing more and more about what people are navigating right now, we felt like this was something worth acting on immediately.
So instead of waiting until we had a fully developed scholarship program, we're starting now.
Applications are open now through Monday, June 8th at 12:00 PM CST. We'll be reviewing submissions and contacting the designers who are selected later that day.
We're opening 3 scholarship spots, each including one full quarter inside the Web Designer Library membership at no cost. We have plans to continue building out this new program and more opportunities for our community like this in the future.
Should You Apply?
If you're BIPOC, LGBTQ+, or facing financial hardship, or navigating circumstances that have made investing in your business more difficult, we'd love for you to apply.
We know there are designers out there who would absolutely put our membership to good use but who may not be in a position to make the investment right now. We also know that access to support, education, community, and resources isn't the same for everyone.
These scholarship spots are our small way of helping make WDL more accessible to designers who are ready to grow, build momentum, and take advantage of everything the membership has to offer.
There is no perfect applicant. We're not looking for the biggest audience, the most impressive portfolio, or the most put together business. We're simply looking for designers who are excited to learn, grow, contribute to the community, and make the most of the opportunity.
