You don’t fix a leaky fuel tank by driving harder.
You patch the leak.
Your business runs on your energy the same way.
Some of us are juggling a lot—client work, marketing, admin tasks, life responsibilities, relationships, maybe even keeping small humans alive. Or maybe you’re stuck in a loop that you can’t “mindset shift” your way out of.
So no—I’m not about to tell you to push harder.
Instead, what if this week (or month, or next few months) wasn’t about fixing everything—but just about patching the leak?
Instead of running on fumes, let’s find where your energy is leaking—and patch it. Take what helps, leave the rest.
Find and Patch the Energy Leaks
1. The mental to-do list that’s eating your brain space
- Write it down somewhere. Free up that mental clutter. Your brain isn’t meant to store endless to-dos—it’s meant to think, create, and solve problems.
2. That one thing you keep rewriting or reworking
- Hit publish. Send the email. Post the post. Call it done. Perfectionism is an energy drain disguised as productivity.
3. The “I have to do everything myself” loop
- Hand off one small task. Even if it’s just ordering groceries instead of running to the store. Delegation isn’t just for big businesses—it’s for anyone who values their time.
4. Forcing yourself to push through energy slumps
- Take the break. A real one. (Not five minutes of scrolling Instagram.)
5. That one system or process that’s been lowkey annoying for months
- Fix just one friction point. Make it easier. Future you will be grateful.
6. Feeling like you have to “catch up” before you can move forward
- You don’t. Start where you are. Progress happens in real time, not in a perfect timeline.
7. Spending more time planning than actually doing
- Just start. Even messy action moves the needle more than a perfect plan.
8. Dragging out decisions that don’t actually matter that much
- Pick something and move on. Decision fatigue is real, and tiny choices don’t deserve your big energy.
9. Letting tiny distractions eat away at your work blocks
- Put your phone in another room. Close the tab. Silence Slack. One deep focus block is more productive than three scattered hours.
10. Overcommitting your future self
- Don’t assume you’ll have more time or energy next week than you do right now. Say no accordingly.
11. The half-finished projects weighing you down
- Choose one to either complete or consciously let go of. Both are progress.
12. Delaying something because it feels overwhelming
- Break it into the next microstep. Just do that today. Momentum is built one step at a time.
13. Feeling stuck in the same loop every day
- Shake up the routine. Work from somewhere else. Change the order of your tasks. Small shifts can have a big impact.
14. Relying on motivation to get things done
- Instead, create default habits that don’t require willpower. Make it easy to show up.
You Don’t Have to Fix Everything—Just Patch One Leak
None of this is about doing more.
It’s about doing less—but in a way that actually gives you something back.
A little more energy. A little more breathing room. A little less of that scattered, stretched-too-thin feeling.
If you’ve been running on fumes, consider this your nudge to patch just one leak.
Even if it’s tiny. Even if it’s just for today.
Because you don’t have to overhaul everything to feel a difference.
